Q. Why don’t you have floor plans on your website?

A. We are 100% Custom. We have stock house plans but prefer to customize them to meet YOUR needs.

Q. what is the price per square foot to build one of your houses?

A. We get this question a lot! Unfortunately, there is not a cut and dry answer since so many factors affect the price per square foot including selections, building products, and even your home’s location. Once we have more information about your particular project, we can accurately drill down to an estimated price per square foot.

Q. I bought some land. now what?

A. Congrats! There are a couple of essential first steps when developing land for home construction. We typically have a series of questions including: does the property have a perk site, are utilities available, and has the land been surveyed? If you don’t have this information readily available, we can make suggestions for how to obtain it. Even better, we are happy to walk the land with you prior to contracting to ensure it is a solid investment.

Q. i want a custom home but have another home to sell. do you do that too?

A. No problem, many of our customers find themselves in this situation. We offer real estate services for existing homes and can help you market and sell yours. If you have an agent, great. We can partner with you and your agent to determine when to sell your existing home as well as explore options for build timelines.

Q. do you do remodels? mother in law suites? Pools?

A. Yes, Yes, Yes! Holmes By Design offers remodeling service to complement our new construction portfolio. In addition, we can help you explore new features such as mother in law suites, detached garages, pool houses, and, even, the pool itself.
